A little background story...
A girl with the classic Hollywood looks, with a voice like a song bird, add in cute charisma and you aquire Jasynda Bennett. A triple threat who is leaving her mark.
Born in Sydney, Australia, Jasynda is a graduate in a BA of Arts with a Major in theatre and performance with a minor in Literature. Her studies have helped her examine infamous playwrights such as Shakespeare, Chekhov, Isben, Brecht and Beckett, and performing plays such as Brecht work The Caucasian Chalk Circle as Singer and Simon. Not to mention an entire semester project where the students had to write, direct, star and produce their own 40 minute play; creating La Societa Del Purgatorio. During her studies she took a gap year to be a character performer at Walt Disney World, performing in their dance parties and The Welcome Show. In addition to character performing she willingly participated in their non-compulsory 'The Entertainment Show Production' course, along with puppetry and articulated heads workshop. She sought out shadow experiences which allowed her to observe The Beauty and the Beast Show from the technician booth with the stage manager, and tour the stage and behind scenes of the infamous Fantasmic! Upon her return to Australia she was cast numerous live children shows, with Australia's top entertainment companies Showtime Attractions, Entertainment Store and Wild Aussies such as Sesame Street live, Peppa Pig, Zingzillas just to name a few. |
In 2014 Jasynda relocated to UK, London to expand in the craft of performance. Being a member Actors Center, she participated in workshops with professionals including Neil Rutherford, Mary Hammond, Nigel Lilley, Catherine Weate as well doing other workshops with Philip Foster (Singing studio), Mariano Detry and Nancy Sullivan (W1 workshops) and stage combat with Independent Drama. While gaining onset experiences being an extra/SA on filming productions including Florence Foster Jenkins, Bridget Jones Baby, The Mummy and being cast for commercials for HP app Happy2Print, Barclays Bank, KissFm! and Microsoft. Jasynda also thoroughly enjoyed over the holiday period being part of DreamWorks first International Christmas Grotto, interacting with guest, as they journey through the north pole following Shrek to find Father Christmas through method of improvised drama. Whilst in Europe Jasynda discovered a passion for travel, and loved seeing different cultures, trying exotic foods and overall meeting locals and learning their stories. Even learnt how to sail while in Greece which has been a long desire on her bucket list.
Jasynda returned to Sydney, Australia, to star as Stella in Miro Garvan The Doll, whose work has been translated to more than 40 other languages. With opening night performed at the Darlinghurst Theatre Company Eternity Playhouse, before beginning its national tour. And now Jasynda has moved back to London, ready to make it her home. Jasynda has been on an amazing adventure by following her dream which has given her numerous opportunities she never have thought she would experience. It is as simple as giving her a chance and she will shine. |
